"This is brilliant, inventive, sturm und drang Haydenesque stuff, and not to be missed if you think that you have heard everything worth hearing from the classical era. The concertos are that good, and Ms King's technical ability far overshadows the considerable demands of the music.
The orchestra plays very well, with strong, involved support, while Cala supplies sound that is brighter than the Channel, yet transparent and lucid. Perhaps Ms King will be the first to give us a complete traversal of these extremely important works. She is unquestionably qualified, and it would be a milestone in recordings."
